Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Virtual Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks within your area of expertise, which may include:
- Medical Billing, Collections, and Basic Bookkeeping
- Submitting, tracking, and following up on insurance claims
- Managing denials, appeals, and accounts receivable follow-ups
- Posting payments and handling patient billing
- Performing basic bookkeeping tasks such as reconciliations and record management
- Credentialing
- Conducting provider credentialing and re-credentialing
- Managing CAQH profiles
- Overseeing insurance payer enrollment and tracking
- Reception / Front Desk Support
- Professionally managing patient calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance and coordinating with patients
