About the Role
Join our dynamic sales team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a deep understanding of the construction sector. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who can effectively identify, qualify, and engage with contractors, particularly in Division 9 (flooring, drywall, finishes) and Division 3 (concrete), to create exceptional sales opportunities. Utilize advanced tools like HubSpot, Apollo, Gong, and dialers (Nooks, Orum) to enhance outbound engagement and develop tailored outreach strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to pinpoint qualified prospects in the construction industry.
- Initiate outbound prospecting through calls and email sequences targeting contractors and key decision-makers.
- Evaluate accounts and contacts based on project scope, company size (10–50+ employees), and essential decision-makers (CFO, CIO, CEO, estimators).
- Refine and personalize email sequences to boost engagement rates.
- Employ HubSpot and Apollo for outreach, leveraging dialers like Nooks or Orum for efficient calling.
- Regularly review calls and pipeline activity to enhance performance.
- Perform data enrichment and cleansing to ensure accurate records.
- Overcome challenges with clients that have limited digital footprints by finding innovative ways to qualify leads.
- Collaborate with the sales team to discover multiple points of contact within organizations and improve account penetration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the construction industry with a solid grasp of project costs and assumptions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cold calling and engaging with contractors and decision-makers.
- Excellent English communication skills, including reading, speaking, and writing.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a structured, process-oriented approach.
- Experience in account qualification and developing outreach strategies.
- Capability to manage and cleanse prospect data effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to Division 9 or Division 3 contractors.
- Familiarity with SaaS or construction technology solutions.
- Expertise in customizing outbound email sequences for improved response rates.
- Prior experience with tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Orum, or Nooks.
