Minimum of 12-15 years of proven experience in instrument service. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

About the job

  • Act as the primary contact within the team for customer complaints, requests, and coordination of appointments, holidays, and training sessions.
  • Lead and manage a team of Field Service Specialists, focusing on their development, assignment of tasks, scheduling of work, and performance evaluation while ensuring equitable workload distribution and effective resource planning.
  • Handle escalated customer situations, ensuring timely escalation to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in line with the Corporate Service Standard (CSS).
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for both direct and indirect reports, coaching them through logical troubleshooting processes and enhancing their technical skills.
  • Make decisions regarding warranty, goodwill, discounts, loaner equipment, and reconstructions as necessary.
  • Oversee Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities within the team, focusing on processing times and data quality.
  • Manage activities according to Service Management specifications including processing times, orders, and data quality.
  • Organize and lead regular team meetings and meetings with Service Management.
  • Conduct annual audits and customer visits alongside each service technician in the team.
  • Participate in personal development through involvement in job interviews and hiring processes.
  • Contribute to achieving yearly contract revenue as per the budget.
  • Ensure field staff receive proper training and that their skills are continuously developed through regular evaluations and feedback surveys. Conduct training sessions as needed.
  • Compile and maintain operational records, including repair times, maintenance statistics, and test results.
  • Report product failure trends and weaknesses to the relevant product groups.
  • Coordinate all necessary express operations.
