Join us in an exciting opportunity as we seek a visionary creative leader to transform YouTube into a pivotal paid acquisition channel for a rapidly growing DTC minerals and supplements brand. In this dynamic role, you will spearhead the direct-response creative process for YouTube, guiding projects from initial concept to final production. Your focus will be on developing engaging, platform-native advertisements designed to attract and convert cold traffic at scale, while also defining the brand’s creative identity on YouTube.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Concept Development
- Innovate and refine YouTube advertisement concepts—developing compelling hooks, angles, narratives, and formats that yield measurable acquisition results.
- Create and write scripts tailored to YouTube's unique attention dynamics (ensuring optimal engagement in the first 5 seconds, mid-roll retention, and effective CTA placement).
- Introduce novel creative perspectives grounded in direct-response principles and brand positioning.
Creative Direction & Team Leadership
- Lead the internal creative team through the ideation, briefing, production, and iterative processes.
- Define creative benchmarks that exemplify winning YouTube advertisements for this brand.
- Establish a common creative language among strategy, production, and performance teams.
Testing & Iteration
- Design structured frameworks for creative testing (covering hooks, formats, lengths, and messaging hierarchies).
- Analyze performance metrics and convert insights into actionable creative strategies for subsequent iterations.
- Proactively identify signs of creative fatigue and maintain a pipeline of fresh concepts.
Creative Pipeline Management
- Ensure a consistent flow of YouTube-ready concepts capable of supporting advertising spends exceeding $50,000 per day.
- Develop repeatable systems for creating, rotating, and scaling successful creative output.
- Document successful strategies—angles, proof structures, emotional triggers—to build a compounding knowledge base.
Collaboration with Media
- Work closely with our Google media buyer to ensure creative outputs align with campaign objectives.
- Translate performance insights into targeted creative recommendations.
- Support scaling initiatives with informed creative judgment and rapid iteration.
