The Webmaster will play a vital role in enhancing FareShare’s online presence, ensuring that our website serves as a valuable resource for diverse audiences, including donors, volunteers, food partners, and charities. With a commitment to combating food waste and redistributing surplus food to those in need, we are looking for a skilled webmaster with over 5 years of experience who is passionate about using their expertise to further our mission of reducing the 250,000 tonnes of surplus food wasted annually in the UK.

This position is essential for maintaining a functional and engaging website, maximizing uptime, and facilitating seamless customer journeys. The successful candidate will ensure that content is easily accessible and aligned with FareShare’s brand values.

About FareShare

FareShare is the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, dedicated to alleviating food poverty by effectively managing food waste. We partner with retailers and manufacturers to source surplus food, which is then distributed to local charities and community groups that provide meals to vulnerable populations including individuals facing homelessness, unemployment, and social isolation.

With 21 regional centres across the UK, FareShare supports over 9,600 charities and community groups. In the past year, our network has redistributed an impressive 16,992 tonnes of food, creating 36.7 million meals and feeding 772,000 individuals weekly.

This role is part of a dynamic marketing and communications team responsible for a wide array of promotional and PR activities. As we expand our outreach efforts to engage consumer audiences and increase visibility for volunteering and fundraising initiatives, the website will be a critical element of our strategy.
