Role overview
The Vision Sales Engineer, based in Monterrey, works closely with manufacturers to encourage adoption of Overview.ai’s technology. This position involves regular visits to factory floors, about 60 to 80 percent of the time, partnering with clients from the first meeting through to deployment. The role blends technical problem-solving with customer-facing work, focusing on identifying valuable inspection opportunities and supporting successful implementations. Independence is important: the engineer makes both technical and commercial decisions, while collaborating with the wider engineering team as needed. This position is a fit for someone looking to deepen technical skills and build strong relationships within Monterrey’s manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities
- Guide customers through onboarding, from initial conversations to full production deployment.
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrate live solutions, conduct onsite evaluations, and troubleshoot directly on the factory floor.
- Identify and assess inspection use cases with significant potential impact.
- Carry out hands-on installations and provide ongoing troubleshooting support to manufacturing teams.
- Gather feedback and insights from the field to help improve products and deployments.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted technical advisor.
