The Vice President of Advertising & Partnerships for Small & Medium Business Growth (SMBG) will play a pivotal role in our dynamic advertising sales team, spearheading new and incremental revenue across NBCUniversal’s comprehensive One Platform portfolio. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Advertising & Partnerships within the SMB Growth Team, this executive will lead a dedicated team focused on nurturing demand and managing relationships with external clients and independent media agencies. This role will utilize programmatic and consultative selling expertise to enhance automated, data-driven buying and innovate SMB strategies. The objective of the team is to generate new demand for the NBCU portfolio, specifically targeting emerging small and medium-sized businesses. Success in this role necessitates building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborative partners throughout the NBCU organization. A deep understanding of streaming, consultative selling, the video landscape, performance marketing, programmatic strategies, and local/regional media is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing sales team to drive new and incremental advertising revenue for NBCU’s One Platform offering.
- Oversee daily sales management, strategy development, revenue forecasting, business development, and client/agency engagement.
- Guide the team through programmatic and consultative sales cycles, including needs assessments, solution design, and negotiations to meet revenue and pricing targets.
- Integrate programmatic solutions into SMB clients, assisting them in understanding and adopting data-driven media opportunities.
- Promote innovation in streaming, performance marketing, and data-driven buying to cultivate new SMB partnerships.
- Establish strong relationships with internal NBCU stakeholders including Local Sales, SME Teams, Sales Pricing & Planning, Sales Marketing, and Sales Operations.
