THE JOB As a per diem Emergency Veterinary Assistant at VEG, you won’t just support your team—you’ll be at the forefront of emergency care from day one. Your role will be pivotal in triaging patients, providing comfort to pet parents, and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide a warm welcome and steady support to incoming patients while assisting in triaging their needs. Collaborate with our skilled veterinary technicians and veterinarians to set up and monitor anesthesia and sedation cases. Manage IV fluids, blood transfusions, and medication administration. Participate in all aspects of patient care, from outpatient to inpatient settings. Engage in patient rounds to ensure continuity of care. Learn CPR techniques and become a RECOVER Certified Rescuer (training provided). Advance to more complex responsibilities as your skills grow.

THE JOB As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responding to urgent veterinary situations where every moment is crucial. Your role will involve managing a variety of cases, from minor to critical emergencies, while collaborating closely with veterinarians to deliver exceptional, empathetic care. You will engage in triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, providing reassurance to pet owners during their most challenging times.
