User Experience Hardware Electrical Engineer

Join our innovative team at Vertex Sigma Software as a Hardware Electrical Engineer focused on enhancing user experience within our Infotainment and Connectivity Hardware department. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of essential human-machine interfaces (HMIs) that facilitate interaction between our riders and our advanced robotic vehicles.

You will be responsible for creating hardware solutions for user authentication, access control, communication, and cabin monitoring. This role demands a collaborative spirit as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, tackle complex design challenges, prototype and test new solutions, and ensure project timelines align with critical company milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define specifications for electrical components and system requirements while leading discussions and development efforts with suppliers.
  • Coordinate the tooling and production processes with suppliers to meet significant vehicle milestones.
  • Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, software teams, and system operators to refine existing designs and innovate new solutions.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses during development, validation, build, and deployment phases to resolve issues effectively.
  • Assist in formulating and executing validation test plans at both system and component levels.
  • Engage with manufacturing and quality engineers to enhance components and support vehicle assembly, bring-up, and testing activities.
