This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring precision, coordination, and uniformity throughout the tendering and pre-contract phases. By meticulously reviewing tender documents, executing accurate quantity take-offs, aiding in post-tender clarifications, and maintaining comprehensive documentation, this role mitigates risks, prevents costly discrepancies, and assures compliance between tender submissions and contract stipulations. It also enhances collaboration among estimators, engineers, and project teams, facilitating smoother project transitions and improved overall project results.
Your Key Responsibilities
Tender Document Review & Coordination
Thoroughly analyze all tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations, to ensure complete comprehension and compliance.
Verify the completeness of received documents, develop a comprehensive document index, and raise inquiries regarding any missing information in collaboration with the Estimator.
Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and uncertainties, consulting with the Estimator for clarity and alignment.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of overall project specifications and requirements.
Quantity Take-Off & BoQ Preparation
As needed, prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for Estimator review and validation.
Conduct precise quantity take-offs based on tender drawings, 3D models, and relevant contract types (remeasured, lump sum, EPC, etc.).
Collaborate with draftspersons to generate marked-up drawings that support detailed quantity take-offs.
Provide accurate quantity data to materials engineers and submission engineers throughout the tender process.
Post-Tender Support & Contract Verification
Manage post-tender inquiries, clarifications, and correspondence, supplying necessary inputs to the Estimator.
Review contract documents post-project award to ensure consistency with tender-stage submissions and related communications.
Assist Estimators in preparing for project award kick-off meetings.
Support in resolving quantity-related queries raised by the project site team.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Organize and upload quantity take-off workbooks, cost sheets, and comparison sheets into the designated system to ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and knowledge retention.
