RESPONSIBILITIESConduct daily cash reconciliations and analyze accounts receivable data, including activities, roll forwards, and aging reports. Collaborate with a third party to generate routine borrowing base reports for review and approval. Coordinate with the accounts receivable team to aid in cash application, invoicing needs, and cash flow movements. Prepare and record monthly journal entries related to financing transactions. Aggregate and consolidate client payment data to assist in cash flow management. Oversee treasury month-end tasks such as FX rates reporting, market data feeds, and bank reconciliations. Assist the treasury manager with multiple corporate card programs. Support daily treasury operations concerning intra-group funding and payment releases. Propose enhancements for process improvements, automation, reporting, and analysis. Assist in audit activities and ensure the timely submission of necessary documentation. IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIESBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.

THE ROLE

As a Treasury Analyst within Sotheby’s Treasury team, you will play a vital role in supporting the accounts receivable and treasury functions through meticulous reporting and financial analysis.

You will be responsible for preparing routine journal entries related to accounts receivable and financing activities, as well as contributing to the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for review. Additionally, you will assist with daily treasury operations. This role requires a robust understanding of accounting principles, cash flow mechanisms, and data management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, work independently, and have advanced proficiency in Excel.
