Travel Commitment Required: Candidates must be willing to travel extensively—up to 100% of the time—across various locations in the United States during clinical rotations. This position is not limited to a specific state; assignments may occur in any of the Nightingale SOFE (Supervised On-Ground Field Experience) areas. Teaching Duration: Our academic calendar comprises three semesters annually, each lasting 16 weeks (approximately 3.5 months), with clinical rotations occurring for at least 11 of those weeks.
Compensation: The starting salary for this role is set at $93,500. Nightingale College follows a structured faculty ladder with five distinct levels: Instructor, Assistant Professor I, Assistant Professor II, Associate Professor, and Professor. The specific level of placement is determined during the offer process based on educational qualifications and years of experience in nursing academia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate learning across various supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites, including clinical, simulation, and skills labs nationwide.
- Teach and evaluate students in the Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master’s Degree Nursing Programs.
- Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with students regarding attendance, performance, understanding, and assessments, ensuring alignment with course outcomes. Submit all required reports as per institutional guidelines.
