Overview
Are you looking to kickstart your career with an exciting internship? Woolpert is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Transportation Engineering Interns in our Ohio offices (Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Dayton) for Fall 2026 (August-December 2026). This is a full-time internship opportunity requiring 40 hours of work per week. You will collaborate with our infrastructure teams on diverse transportation projects including traffic systems, roadway and pedestrian infrastructures, bridges, and transportation planning. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the communities we serve.

Please note, we are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must possess valid work authorization for the country where the job is located.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our leading Transportation team on impactful projects.
  • Gain hands-on experience by working on real projects alongside licensed engineers who are experts in the field.
  • Assist in various project tasks including analysis, design, plan production, and cost estimation.
  • Utilize industry-standard applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, along with specialized software to facilitate design.
  • Engage as a team member while coordinating with internal teams and external clients/subconsultants.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks and solve challenges independently.
