Required Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of support experience is essential. Proficient in Linux/Unix administration, preferably RHEL/CentOS/OEL. Strong skills in Python and Bash scripting. Good understanding of storage systems and protocols, with knowledge of NFS and GPFS being a plus. Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible. Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka. Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools. Experience with monitoring infrastructures, particularly ELK and Prometheus. Database administration experience, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL. Experience with container technologies including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, GKE, or Helm is preferred. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, and clock synchronization (PTP, NTP). Ability to navigate network equipment command line interfaces. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The Trade Flow Support Engineer will join a highly skilled team dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of Squarepoint Capital's essential services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Build & Deploy, Research, and Trading. This role is crucial for delivering Level 1 and Level 2 support across our globally distributed services in the APAC, EMEA, and AMER regions.

  • Monitor and provide L1/L2 support across all services, promptly addressing any outages to maintain high availability.
  • Quickly identify, analyze, and rectify alerts and issues, escalating them when necessary to minimize trade flow disruptions and prevent outages.
  • Engage extensively with the trading community, external vendors, and internal development and infrastructure teams.
  • Oversee automated processes, scheduled jobs, and generate regular reports.
  • Manage user requests, tracking progress through approval, updates, resolution, and closure.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in repetitive tasks, manual processes, and suboptimal tools/workflows, driving continuous improvements through automation and collaboration.
