This on-site Test Engineer position at Voyager Technologies Inc. is based in San Diego, CA and reports to the VP of Product Design. The role is part of the Products division within the Engineering department.
Role overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for conducting environmental testing, such as TVAC, Thermal, Vibe, and Shock, on complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The position involves developing new test architectures as well as creating detailed testing plans and procedures. Work is performed on-site in San Diego.
What you will do
- Design, develop, schedule, and execute both functional performance and environmental test architectures
- Create and maintain test procedures, plans, and schedules
- Document, discuss, and report on test results
- Review specifications and documentation for boards and system-level functions
- Participate in design and software product coding reviews
- Ensure all developed test protocols meet testing standards and are properly documented
- Provide work estimates and regular status updates for test efforts
- Maintain effective communication with project managers and team members to prioritize tasks
- Lead and coordinate all or part of the testing initiatives for assigned projects
