About the role
The retail sector in Latin America boasts an impressive annual worth of $2 trillion. To maintain and expand their sales and market presence, brands and retailers invest billions each year to deploy thousands of individuals for in-store tasks such as stocking shelves, fulfilling e-commerce orders, and setting up displays. Our innovative technology connects these individuals with retailers through a mobile marketplace, enabling them to select tasks nearby as independent contractors. In return, retailers gain access to a real-time dashboard that tracks the progress of various tasks. To date, over 4.7 million tasks have been successfully completed on our platform across Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru, fundamentally changing how brands and retailers manage their operations.
We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for launching innovative projects. This is a unique opportunity in Latin America to join a well-funded startup poised for exponential growth. Our founders are graduates of Harvard Business School with extensive consumer experience at Walmart and P&G across Latin America, India, China, and Africa. Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, our platform currently supports over 12,000 users across Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia, and we are expanding into Brazil.
As we enhance our delivery operations with leading retailers in Mexico, we require a highly motivated individual who can work independently and is passionate about execution. We are looking for a proactive and organized person, equipped to tackle various challenges in a rapidly growing startup environment. This individual will be responsible for executing data-driven strategies and managing a remote team. The successful candidate will oversee a specific region, taking full ownership of their territory through thorough analysis and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join a team of operations managers overseeing online operations for top retailers (order picking and delivery)
- Take ownership of and enhance business KPIs (completion rates, on-time delivery, churn rates, etc.)
- Manage relationships with field teams and stores (clients) to execute collaborative strategies
- Ensure the presence of a complete team of Zubaleros at each operational point
- Calculate, manage, and align supply across regions
- Ensure recruitment, training, retention, and engagement of Zubaleros
- Transform raw data into actionable insights to boost productivity, reduce churn, and enhance communication with Zubaleros
