Kuok Singapore Limited is seeking a Technical Superintendent to manage the technical operations of a fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels. This remote position focuses on maintaining high operational standards, vessel readiness, and compliance with management agreements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities for assigned vessels, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and class special surveys; submit proposals to senior management for approval in advance.
  • Schedule and supervise vessel surveys, onboard assessments, inspections, and dry-docking operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, operations, and marketing teams to ensure technical and operational readiness, including performance assessments.
  • Assess dry-docking needs, review repair quotes, and select shipyards for maintenance and survey work.
  • Define repair specifications and participate in dry-docking, repairs, and surveys as needed.
  • Compile post-drydocking reports summarizing completed work, operational budgets, and actual costs.
  • Procure technical and operational supplies, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality.
  • Monitor vessel technical status to maintain class certification and survey compliance.
  • Ensure planned maintenance schedules are followed and activities completed efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for statutory, class, and equipment certificates.
  • Provide technical support to vessel operations as required.
  • Conduct monthly log reviews and participate in vessel inspections.
  • Supervise contractors involved in repair and maintenance.
  • Implement cost control strategies for ship spare parts and docking requirements.
  • Perform regular technical compliance audits and investigate defects or failures to uphold standards.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Management team to implement QHSE systems and policies across the division.
  • Review codes, guidelines, and standards to ensure compliance with Quality and Safety Management protocols.
  • Promote a zero loss time accident record, reporting incidents and near misses to reduce future risks.
  • Report to the Technical Fleet Management Department, with a matrix reporting line to the Business Unit Manager.
  • Take on additional technical assignments as needed.
