Qualifications We SeekWe are in search of a candidate who:Works profiler-first: You leverage tools such as Nsight Systems and Nsight Compute to identify bottlenecks, validate hypotheses, and refine solutions that enhance end-to-end benchmarks. Bridges theory and practice: You have the ability to convert theoretical concepts from research papers into robust, testable, and high-performing implementations. Executes independently: When faced with ambiguous bottlenecks, you confidently navigate from profiling through to kernel/integration modifications and validated results, maintaining ownership throughout the process. Cares about the details: You possess a keen eye for intricacies such as memory hierarchy, occupancy, launch configurations, tensor core utilization, and the balance between bandwidth and compute limits.

Your Role in Our Team

As a GPU Performance Engineer, your expertise will be critical in enhancing our models and workflows beyond the capabilities of standard frameworks. You will be responsible for designing and deploying custom CUDA kernels, conducting hardware-level profiling, and transforming research concepts into production code that yields tangible improvements in our pipelines (training, post-training, and inference). Our dynamic team values initiative and ownership, and we are looking for a candidate who thrives on tackling complex challenges related to memory hierarchies, tensor cores, and profiling outputs.

While San Francisco and Boston are preferred, we welcome applications from other locations.
