Qualifications

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or higher; well-versed in industry standards and specifications relevant to green data centers. Thorough knowledge of national design codes, TIA-942 design standards, and Uptime Tier standards. Over 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design management in Malaysia, Singapore, or similar markets; data center design experience is highly preferred, particularly in uptime design certification. Experience in independently completing comprehensive electrical system planning and detailed construction design for large-scale industrial or power plant projects, with mastery over industrial power distribution design principles, including systems rated at 110kV and below. Familiarity with the selection and operational principles of primary electrical equipment.

As a Technical Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role with the following responsibilities:

  • Act as the electrical design engineer for the data center, involved in pre-planning, capacity analysis, reliability assessments, and technical cost management for electrical specialties within the project.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the electrical architecture of the data center, contribute to defining the electrical design scheme, effectively oversee the design institute, offer constructive design insights, and evaluate relevant construction proposals and shop drawings.
  • Lead product selection and technical specifications, manage equipment bidding processes, and review detailed designs created by contractors in accordance with the established project parameters.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the optimization of design tasks across various disciplines; demonstrate problem-solving skills on-site; and have familiarity with construction technologies and processes.
  • Oversee or participate in factory inspections, commissioning, and comprehensive testing of electrical systems or equipment within the data center projects; manage project coordination during construction, technical change management, and other technical adjustments during the project's later stages.
  • Act as the key liaison for communication and coordination among design consultants, stakeholders, government entities, suppliers, and project contractors across Southeast Asia.
