THE ROLE
Are you driven by a passion for enhancing product reliability at scale? As the Technical Program Manager for our Fleet Reliability Engineering team, you will spearhead projects and releases that uphold the highest reliability standards across our global fleet of customer FlashBlade systems. Your mission will be to oversee and enhance the systems and processes that monitor and address fleet reliability challenges through reactive, proactive, and predictive measures. You will coordinate responses to critical issues and monitor systems designed to detect, mitigate, and prevent failures across all deployed systems worldwide.
This highly collaborative role will see you working alongside cross-functional teams—including hardware, software, support, and sales—while directly interacting with customers to resolve complex issues affecting their environments. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future reliability of Pure Storage’s products.
The Fleet Reliability team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead various complex engineering projects from inception to completion. This includes managing project schedules, maintenance releases, major customer escalations, and the supporting processes. You will identify risks and communicate them clearly to project stakeholders and executive management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage critical customer escalations from Pure Support, collaborating with hardware, software, support, and customer-facing teams to triage customer issues, assign ownership, and set resolution expectations.
- Provide leadership updates to ensure that managers and executives are informed of critical customer escalations without the need for their direct involvement.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving Fleet Reliability across Engineering, motivating teams to resolve critical bugs, enhance test automation, and develop new features and processes.
- Oversee maintenance releases and processes that deliver essential fixes to the field, maintaining our high-quality standards.
- Manage software projects aimed at improving our response times, issue tracking, and metrics to enhance customer Fleet Reliability.
- Develop schedules, identify dependencies and bottlenecks, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently.
