Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Program Design & DeliveryManage the entire lifecycle of the Operations Training Program, including needs assessment, curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Create and maintain role-specific training curricula and competency frameworks for all operational roles, such as Critical Facilities Technician (CFT), Data Center Operations Engineer (DCOE), Shift Lead, and Facilities Management. Transform vendor manuals, OEM documentation, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and engineering specifications into well-structured and engaging training content, including instructor-led sessions, hands-on lab exercises, scenario-based simulations, job aids, and e-learning modules. Collaborate closely with the Technical Writer to ensure consistency between procedural documentation and training materials, ensuring what is documented aligns with what is taught. Develop and oversee a comprehensive network of training initiatives that foster skill advancement and operational excellence.

Role overview

The Technical Program Manager - Facility Operations leads the development and operational readiness of Fluidstack’s facilities operations team in San Francisco, CA. This role centers on designing, implementing, and maintaining a full training program for data center operations staff. The goal: ensure every team member is prepared to manage complex, critical infrastructure safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage training programs for data center operations personnel
  • Validate and update technical training materials for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Oversee operational initiatives, including planned maintenance governance and change management
  • Provide oversight for MOP (Methods of Procedure), EOP (Emergency Operating Procedures), and AOP (Abnormal Operating Procedures)
  • Ensure operational teams are qualified and equipped to handle mission-critical facility tasks

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in data center or mission-critical facility operations
  • Experience progressing through hands-on operational roles
  • Ability to create and validate technical documentation and training content
  • Commitment to developing and mentoring operations professionals
