Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) plays a critical role within Fluidstack’s Design and Engineering team. This position entails overseeing project management and program infrastructure for an expanding array of data center design and solution delivery initiatives, reporting directly to the Director of Design & Engineering.
In this position, you will introduce transformative changes to how Fluidstack manages and executes design and engineering tasks. You will establish structure, consistency, and accountability among internal teams, external consultants, and delivery partners. You will be responsible for developing templates, standard programs, playbooks, and systems that allow engineers to concentrate on their core engineering work.
Key Responsibilities
Program Structure & Delivery
- Lead the comprehensive project management of a portfolio of concurrent data center design and solution delivery programs from initiation to construction-ready handoff.
- Create and sustain integrated master schedules that encompass architectural, structural, MEP, civil, technology, and specialty design disciplines.
- Establish program governance, including milestone gates, design review schedules, change control procedures, and decision logs that foster accountability while minimizing overhead.
- Proactively identify risks, interdependencies, and blockers for the team, resolving them before they escalate into significant issues.
- Provide clear portfolio-level status updates to leadership, covering schedule health, risk management, open decisions, and escalation alerts.
Template & Standards Program
- Oversee Fluidstack’s internal template program for design and engineering delivery, including project management playbooks, design review templates, consultant scopes, and RFP frameworks.
