About the People Team
The People team at Fluidstack is dedicated to our vision of creating the world's premier environment for individuals to achieve their best work.
We design and oversee the systems, environments, and partnerships that enable talented individuals to concentrate on significant challenges. Our responsibilities encompass everything from the infrastructure that supports organizational operations to the critical moments in the employee lifecycle that influence their experience, as well as the support that empowers managers and leaders to excel.
We place great importance not only on outcomes but also on the processes that lead to them.
Why This Role Exists
As technical organizations expand rapidly, management practices can sometimes struggle to keep pace with growth. This role is crucial in ensuring that leaders within engineering, product, and infrastructure have the essential support to manage their teams effectively, particularly during periods of swift hiring and organizational transformation.
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced partner to collaborate closely with Fluidstack’s technical teams (engineering, product, data, and infrastructure) to address people and performance issues. Initially, your role will cover a broad spectrum of responsibilities. As the organization continues to grow, your focus will narrow to specific departments.
In this position, you will foster, mentor, and develop your colleagues, concentrating on both macro and micro development strategies to ensure they perform at their highest potential in a healthy and scalable manner. This could involve everything from one-on-one coaching with a new engineering manager to multi-quarter strategic planning with department leaders, as well as navigating complex team dynamics.
Rather than emphasizing arbitrary business metrics, your approach will be rooted in employee advocacy, seeking comprehensive solutions that meet people where they are while simultaneously guiding the organization toward meaningful outcomes. You will adopt a growth mindset, posing insightful questions and providing constructive feedback, which will help you cultivate robust, trusting relationships with colleagues.
