What We Are Looking For:Chartered Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification). Significant experience in data centre design and/or project management. Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams on intricate data centre projects. Strong knowledge of permitting processes, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies. Capability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Willingness to travel as necessary. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications:Degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer or Accredited Tier Professional. Familiarity with Revit and digital design workflows.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Design Lead to join our innovative and diverse data centre team. This crucial role involves spearheading the design and execution of complex hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centre projects throughout Europe. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, uphold technical excellence, and foster strong client relationships.

This is a client-facing, hands-on position with excellent opportunities for career advancement, engaging with high-profile, fast-paced projects for global clients.

Regular travel to our UK & I + European offices will be required as part of this role.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Fire Protection, ICT, BMS/EPMS) across the UK and Europe.
  • Oversee all phases of data centre projects from site due diligence, campus planning, conceptual/schematic/detailed design to construction documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design outputs that align with client needs and project timelines.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, offering innovative and practical solutions.
  • Support the broader Sector and Commercial teams in commercial and contractual governance, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key clients and collaborate with Client CAM.
  • Present to clients and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery outputs.
  • Work in collaboration with design teams and local delivery teams to ensure compliance with localization and permitting requirements.
  • Respond promptly to client requirements.
