Position Summary The Quality Inspector is essential in maintaining the company's rigorous standards for quality and precision. This role requires thorough inspections of components and finished products, identifying defects, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications as well as industry regulations. Minimum Qualifications Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in a related field is preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection position. Knowledge: Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards is preferred. Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is beneficial. Understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspections is a plus. Skills: Proficient in using precision measurement tools and techniques. Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting. Aptitude for working in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures). Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify that products meet design criteria. Identify and document any non-conforming materials or products, providing feedback to operators. Maintain accurate records of inspections. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with company and industry standards. Enforce compliance with customer workmanship standards. Engage in root cause analysis and suggest solutions to prevent recurring issues. Other related duties as assigned.
