The Emerging Risk Unit (ERU) at Newfront is a specialized brokerage and client-service practice designed for dynamic, venture-backed, and innovation-focused businesses that encounter new or swiftly changing risks. We are seeking a skilled Team Lead to drive the successful realization and expansion of the ERU vision. In this role, you will spearhead innovation and drive operational efficiency through strategic enhancements in technology, processes, and organizational integration.


This position is a full-time, salaried, exempt role that may require occasional travel to meet with clients, prospects, and insurers. As a remote or hybrid position, you can work from any Newfront office location or hub in Southern California or Texas, provided you live within 25 miles of an office location. #LI-Remote

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy + Vision

    • Lead the vision and resource strategy for the ERU.

    • Enhance operational excellence by designing and enforcing best-in-class workflows and deliverables.

    • Act as the expert on emerging-risk trends, markets, and solutions within ERU.

    • Collaborate with technology and product teams to identify, evaluate, and implement technological solutions, including AI tools and API-driven automations that enhance efficiency and client service delivery.

    • Optimize enterprise-system adoption to drive efficiency and provide real-time insights.

  • People Management

    • Mentor and motivate high-performing service teams that contribute to client success and revenue growth.

  • Account Management

    • Independently oversee client relationships and accounts generating up to $1MM in revenue.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and requests.

    • Develop, analyze, and implement competitive insurance programs, offering various options for client evaluation. Prepare market analyses, quote rates for renewals and new business, and manage all associated deliverables.
