Role Overview: Tax Specialist

The Tax Specialist joins a growing tax team at Paddle and reports to the regional tax manager. Tax is central to Paddle’s business strategy, and this position plays a key part in ensuring compliance and accuracy across tax accounting and reporting. The role involves close collaboration with global colleagues and covers both direct and indirect tax matters.

This position calls for someone who works independently, manages tax processes from start to finish, and reviews work with care. Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards is required. The Tax Specialist will also provide tax guidance to other teams and help mentor peers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare indirect tax returns for Paddle in multiple territories, including all related filings, payments, accounting entries, and audit support.
  • Assist with direct tax return preparation for Paddle entities, handling related tax payments and accounting entries.
  • Support transfer pricing adjustments, R&D claims, withholding tax, e-invoicing, and other tax planning activities.
  • Lead special projects such as setting up new corporate structures or registrations, and respond to ad hoc tax questions from Paddle’s clients.
  • Provide guidance and support on tax matters to teams across the business as needed.

This role is based in the UK. The primary office is in London.
