Key Responsibilities:Identify and define novel functions essential for the control of autonomous aircraft and to manage potential contingencies. Establish the interaction framework between the aircraft, pilot, and support systems for remotely operated autonomous vehicles. Conduct a systematic decomposition of aircraft, system, and LRU functions, define both physical and logical architectural frameworks, and allocate functionalities accordingly. Perform trade studies to evaluate performance, complexity, risk, and cost of various technical solutions. Collaborate closely with system and safety analysts to define architectural features that align with safety and security requirements. Derive and validate requirements and interfaces based on the architecture to ensure accurate and complete implementation at subsequent design levels. Support product development from conception through to production, testing, and certification.

As a Systems Architect, you will join our Systems team, reporting directly to the Systems & Safety Manager. This team is tasked with designing systems that underpin novel safety-critical functions, developing methodologies for emerging technologies, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

You will work as part of a seasoned multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the enhancement of aircraft operational and functional capabilities. Your background in system design and development will empower our team to meet the rigorous demands of stakeholders and certification authorities. Collaboration will be key as you work alongside colleagues from various departments at Reliable Robotics to develop innovative systems crucial for unmanned aircraft operations.
