We are seeking a dedicated System Engineer to oversee the planning, design, installation, testing, and implementation of systems that meet our specifications and service levels. This role includes system programming and configuration as needed to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Plan, design, install, test, and implement systems based on defined specifications and service levels, including necessary programming and configuration.
2) Manage changes in systems through the established change request process and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.
3) Respond promptly to incidents, conducting investigations and providing both temporary and permanent solutions, along with timely updates to affected parties.
4) Conduct root cause analyses and implement proactive measures, monitoring their effectiveness over time.
5) Continuously monitor and assess the performance and availability of systems, implementing corrective actions to enhance these metrics.
6) Ensure compliance with agreed service levels (e.g., service requests, system availability), maintain accurate system configuration documentation, and produce regular reports for stakeholders.
7) Develop and implement service continuity strategies, including backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning, to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
8) Provide technical guidance on systems to customers and project teams.
9) Ensure compliance with ICT system management standards such as ISO20000 and ISO27001, as well as ITIL best practices.
10) Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling for system implementation and operational activities.
11) Establish facility management standards and best practices to ensure consistent operations across project and facility management teams.
