Job Overview
LaBella Associates is on the lookout for a talented Survey Crew Chief to join our Latham, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY office. In this role, you will engage in a variety of survey projects, including topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR, UAV/drone operations, and structural monitoring, all while supporting land surveying, civil engineering, architectural, and environmental initiatives. You will work under the guidance of Licensed Professional Surveyors and have the chance to be involved in diverse surveying tasks.
This full-time position encompasses both fieldwork and office responsibilities, such as conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA/ASCM land title, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR, and UAV/drone surveys. This role also provides a pathway to obtaining a Professional Surveying License.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to clarify project goals, challenges, schedules, budgets, and expectations.
- Adhere to established safety protocols for Land Surveying.
- Foster strong client relationships.
- Operate advanced surveying technology, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAVs, high-definition scanners, and data collection devices.
- Lead the field team to meet client and project objectives, while supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior field staff.
Salary Range: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour. The specific salary offered may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, education, and work location.
