Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role. In-depth knowledge of surveying principles and methodologies. Proficient in utilizing survey equipment including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors. Part 107 license preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential. Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, focusing on delivering superior results on time and within budget.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to support our expanding client base across the nation. This role involves overseeing field survey activities while ensuring the utmost quality of survey deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data crucial for project completion, including the identification of boundaries, pins, improvements, and utilities across various project types such as ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
  • Review and process raw field data, perform necessary calculations, and manage survey data downloads and filing.
  • Conduct project research as required.
  • Adhere to instructions and work orders from project managers.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Field Project Manager concerning progress and any potential schedule adjustments.

Physical Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to traverse rugged terrains safely in remote locations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and challenging environments.
  • Capable of transporting heavy equipment and lifting/moving weights up to 100 pounds as needed.
  • Frequent regional and national travel required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary.

Relationship Management

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure project completion is aligned with safety standards, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment on-site.
