Join Us as a Supplier Quality Development Engineer!
The Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE) plays a pivotal role in overseeing supplier quality development initiatives across the USA and Mexico. Responsibilities include conducting manufacturing partner (MP) audits, assisting MPs in problem-solving, training them on quality tools, and spearheading continuous improvement projects. The SQDE reviews and approves process and product approval (PPAP) documents, ensuring that the quality standards of Protolabs Network (PLN) are effectively communicated throughout the supply chain and that compliance activities are upheld. The role also entails collaborating with the Supply Chain Teams to identify, select, and qualify new suppliers, as well as guiding their onboarding process in line with PLN standards. The SQDE is committed to enhancing supplier performance, focusing on quality objectives and proactive problem-solving while implementing the best manufacturing practices to ensure consistency across the network.
