Job Responsibilities and Technologies
As a Student Assistant in the Netcompany Service Desk, you will engage in a part-time role that promotes both personal and professional growth. You will acquire solid skills in areas such as operations, technical support, and communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a team that includes full-time employees and other student assistants, with rotating shifts. Your tasks will vary but will primarily involve monitoring and escalating cases.
Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Monitoring our IT solutions
- Acting as the primary contact for customer inquiries, mainly via phone
- Responsible for logging and escalating cases
- Contributing to streamlining our processes and procedures
Your shifts will fall within the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays, with the possibility of 24/7 shifts during weekends and holidays. Therefore, you should be prepared for night and weekend work. Shifts are organized according to a fixed schedule, so you will know in advance the days and times you are expected to work.
As part of your onboarding and training, your initial shifts will be during the daytime to prepare you for responsibilities outside normal working hours.
About You
We are looking for a Student Assistant who:
- Is pursuing a higher education degree in IT
- Has a general knowledge of IT, preferably with an interest in Windows or Linux
- Is motivated, curious, and independent, with a desire to develop and understand how an operations organization functions
- Is comfortable working night shifts
