Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset. Licensed member of the EGBC (or eligible). More than 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering. Proficiency with SAP2000, SAFE, and AutoCAD software. Strong skills in report writing and proposal development. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Our expanding Infrastructure team in British Columbia seeks a Structural Engineer to join our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will engage in industrial and municipal infrastructure projects, focusing on underground structures, electrical substations, retaining walls, and utility infrastructure systems.

Our projects encompass underground concrete structures (such as vaults, manholes, and chambers), duct banks, substations, utility corridors, equipment foundations, and associated industrial facilities. We collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical coordination, delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design, preparing detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Estimate construction costs and quantities, conducting studies and technical reports.
  • Execute fieldwork, including investigations and inspections for the design, retrofit, remediation, and construction of structures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, utility authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with tender documents.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, define project scopes, and estimate fees.
