Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited four-year institution, along with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification. Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit for generating structural engineering documentation. Strong communication skills. Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM Structural, RAM Concept, Tedds, or LPile.

AECOM is on the lookout for a talented Structural Engineer to join our Denver, CO team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting a diverse array of projects across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, government, aviation, and technology, as well as parking structures and infrastructure development. This position allows you to hone your analytical and design skills with a focus on adaptive reuse, condition assessments, seismic design and retrofits, advanced structural analysis methods, and managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing buildings and structures across various markets, including commercial, government, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and architectural disciplines to produce comprehensive construction documents.
  • Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, specifications, reports, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for diverse projects.
  • Perform construction administration tasks as required by contracts, including coordinating with construction professionals, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and addressing RFIs.
  • Manage complex design challenges, including conflicting requirements, unconventional materials, and intricate coordination needs.
  • Conduct condition assessments and site visits as necessary.
  • Work under the guidance of a project manager or senior team member.
  • Advance your design experience towards obtaining your professional engineer license.
