The Starlink Production Technician (First Shift) role is based in Redmond, WA. This position is hands-on and supports the assembly, integration, and testing of satellite and spacecraft components. The work involves both electrical and mechanical tasks in a collaborative aerospace environment.
What you will do
- Assemble small electrical sub-assemblies and carry out mechanical and electrical assembly of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and final vehicle integrations.
- Integrate printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies into product chassis.
- Build battery cell modules, solar modules, and solar arrays.
- Perform wire harnessing, soldering, and de-soldering of through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components.
- Assist with conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and similar processes.
- Conduct functional tests on assembled hardware, including setup, instrumentation, execution, and teardown.
- Operate advanced automated equipment, including troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
- Support prototype testing development for spacecraft components and life tests.
- Help identify, install, and implement test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Set up and execute tests under various conditions, such as thermal, shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration.
