BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent certification. Minimum of 1 year of relevant hands-on experience. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:At least 2 years of hands-on experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment, precision manufacturing, or high-volume production. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Competence in using a PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and organizational skills.

The Starlink Production Technician (First Shift) role is based in Redmond, WA. This position is hands-on and supports the assembly, integration, and testing of satellite and spacecraft components. The work involves both electrical and mechanical tasks in a collaborative aerospace environment.

What you will do

  • Assemble small electrical sub-assemblies and carry out mechanical and electrical assembly of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and final vehicle integrations.
  • Integrate printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies into product chassis.
  • Build battery cell modules, solar modules, and solar arrays.
  • Perform wire harnessing, soldering, and de-soldering of through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components.
  • Assist with conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and similar processes.
  • Conduct functional tests on assembled hardware, including setup, instrumentation, execution, and teardown.
  • Operate advanced automated equipment, including troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
  • Support prototype testing development for spacecraft components and life tests.
  • Help identify, install, and implement test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Set up and execute tests under various conditions, such as thermal, shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration.
