About the role

At Vast, we are on a bold mission to shape a future where billions of individuals thrive in the cosmos. Our focus is on developing cutting-edge space stations designed to ensure a sustained human presence in space for the United States and its allies. This innovation will facilitate advanced microgravity research, manufacturing, and unlock a burgeoning space economy for government, corporate, and private clients. With a strategic, hardware-centric, and cost-effective approach, Vast is rapidly advancing its multi-module Haven Station, which successfully demonstrated capabilities in 2025, making us the only operational commercial space station company to autonomously fly and manage our own spacecraft. Following this, Haven-1 is slated to be the world's first commercial space station upon its launch, paving the way for additional Haven modules to support a permanent human presence by 2030. Our dedicated team is fully committed to executing our mission safely and efficiently. If you're eager to collaborate with the brightest minds on Earth to propel humanity's exploration of space, we invite you to join us.

Vast is actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Applications, who will report to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of systems essential for the design and construction of artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Long Beach office.
