Essential ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming vehicle data to the cloud. Architect and create real-time streaming solutions for continuous data offloading, focusing on low-latency delivery, high throughput, and optimal resource utilization (especially CPU) across both vehicle and offload infrastructure. Enhance real-time pipelines to improve data freshness and time-to-insight while adhering to cost-efficiency and medallion architecture principles. Promote best practices for data quality, governance, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Establish and manage advanced queuing and prioritization mechanisms for data processing tasks, moving beyond traditional methods to enable on-demand data prioritization. Encourage a culture of rigorous testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a highly proficient and seasoned Staff Data Engineer to become a vital member of our expanding Data Platform team. This pivotal position is tasked with the design, construction, and optimization of scalable data pipelines that are integral to our data platform projects, specifically focusing on the swift ingestion and processing of the vast amounts of data collected by our vehicles. You will be instrumental in facilitating the efficient and reliable transfer of data from vehicles to the systems and teams that rely on it, ensuring timely and comprehensive data availability for subsequent analysis and simulation.
