Role Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer in the New York City office, join a small, agile group shaping new AI products from the ground up. This team works in a true 0-to-1 environment, combining the energy of a startup with Databricks' resources. The goal: build vertical AI applications that serve both technical and business users, leveraging the full power of Databricks' data and AI platform.

What You Will Do

  • Design and build innovative interfaces for GenAI agents that support complex workflows, always maintaining transparency and human oversight.
  • Work closely with product management, design, and engineering partners to deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions that drive adoption and business growth.
  • Lead hands-on, full-stack development efforts to craft engaging, user-focused experiences.
  • Create onboarding and sharing features that support product-led growth and make it easy for users to get started.
  • Help define the direction of intuitive agentic applications at Databricks, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers across teams.
  • Establish and promote best practices for building impactful AI products within your team and throughout Databricks.
