We are looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Staff Reporter to become a vital part of our expanding team in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will be a meticulous observer of the arts with the ability to write engagingly for a diverse audience. A strong social media presence and versatility in handling a variety of topics, from well-researched features to critical analyses of memes and online culture, are essential.

As a Staff Reporter, your responsibilities will include:

  • Consistently pitching news stories and analyses, leveraging both online resources and personal connections.
  • Researching and crafting two articles daily under tight deadlines.
  • Covering off-site events, including protests and cultural actions.
  • Reporting on a wide array of topics, including arts activism, international events, archaeological finds, and more.
  • Assisting in the growth of Hyperallergic’s audience across social media platforms and other channels.

This role is headquartered in our Brooklyn, NY office.
