The Role:
We are on the lookout for Principal and Staff Optical Interconnect Engineers who possess extensive expertise in optical communications and co-packaged optics (CPO). At OLIX, you will be instrumental in crafting next-generation optical interconnect architectures designed for AI data centers, encompassing chip-to-chip, inter-tray, intra-tray, and rack-to-rack links. Join our dynamic team dedicated to redefining traditional paradigms through innovative solutions.
This position lies at the convergence of optics, ASIC design, high-speed electronics, packaging, and algorithm development. Your work will focus on the creation of highly integrated electro-optic systems, optimized for bandwidth density, ultra-low latency, power efficiency, thermal management, reliability, and high-volume manufacturability. We seek a versatile optical engineer who seamlessly navigates between theoretical concepts like link budgets and Maxwell's equations, and the practical aspects of physically aligning fiber arrays. You should thrive in a hands-on environment, tackling real-world implementation challenges while maintaining a keen eye on details.
