The Staff Nurse - Regional Supplemental Staffing II supports patient care across multiple Luminis Health locations in Annapolis, MD and Lanham, MD. This role ensures quality and cost-effective healthcare delivery, working alongside teams at different sites as needed. Nurses in this position contribute their clinical expertise to enhance patient outcomes and overall team effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong clinical nursing skills relevant to assigned units.
  • Apply the nursing process to care for a diverse patient population, following applicable laws, policies, standards, and evidence-based practices.
  • Adjust and prioritize care activities based on ongoing assessments and changing conditions.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments to collect data and identify learning needs.
  • Develop individualized care plans using systematic analysis of assessment data.
  • Implement care plans efficiently, following established protocols.
  • Administer medications, manage pain, and perform unit-specific clinical skills with proficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate care plans, making adjustments based on patient responses.

Nurse-Patient and Family Relationships

  • Assess learning needs, readiness, and barriers for patients and their families.
  • Create, deliver, and evaluate teaching plans tailored to the patient population and specialty.
  • Incorporate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan into patient care.
  • Deliver care that is culturally, developmentally, and ethically appropriate.
