Qualifications

Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Flight Software team to develop reliable flight software for all Haven missions. Engage cross-functionally with various disciplines including GNC, Thermal, Propulsion, Power, and ECLSS to facilitate algorithm implementation and integration into the flight software. Conduct thorough code assessments and reviews, ensuring compliance with best practices and established coding standards. Write driver-level code for interfacing with onboard radios, sensors, and actuators across all Haven missions. Design and maintain the Telemetry and Commanding Systems for effective communication with our spacecraft. Create unit and integration tests while establishing a continuous integration framework for flight software.

We are currently seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to join our dynamic Flight Software team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Flight Software. In this pivotal role, you will support the development and integration of systems necessary for designing and constructing artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Long Beach, California office.

Your responsibilities will include developing fault-tolerant software for safety-critical systems while collaborating closely with our avionics team to integrate flight software with avionics hardware. You will be part of a collaborative environment that views the debugging and error-correction process as an opportunity for growth and team strengthening, continually enhancing our workflows and product quality.
