Overview
We are on the lookout for a skilled Staff Engineer specializing in Cloud Networking and Network Security to architect and develop scalable, cloud-native networking and security solutions across multi-cloud environments.
This role is perfect for a hands-on networking professional with extensive experience in routing, NAT-heavy, and data-plane-intensive systems. You will take the lead in designing and implementing critical networking components, influencing technical decisions in your area of expertise, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-performance cloud networking products.
Your contributions will be crucial in addressing intricate networking challenges including routing, NAT, traffic steering, firewall enforcement, and telemetry at cloud scale.
Key Responsibilities
Networking Architecture & Design
· Spearhead the design and implementation of significant networking components across control and data planes.
· Contribute to architectural decisions involving routing, NAT, traffic steering, and firewall enforcement.
· Manage technical design documentation and lead design reviews in your field.
· Ensure networking accuracy, resiliency, scalability, and operability in production settings.
Cloud Networking Platforms
· Design and implement cloud networking topologies including:
o VPC/VNet segmentation strategies
o Hub-and-spoke and mesh architectures
o Multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity models
· Engage directly with cloud-native constructs such as:
o Cloud gateways and routing tables
o NAT gateways
