Role overview

The Solution Specialist-1 position is part of the sales team based in Tampa, Florida. This outside sales account executive role centers on helping merchants thrive by introducing Shift4's Point of Sale technology and related services. The work blends prospecting, relationship management, and account development within the payments sector.

What you will do

  • Arrange appointments with merchants to showcase Shift4's Point of Sale and merchant services.
  • Prospect through phone outreach, in-person networking, and building referral partnerships.
  • Support existing clients by offering additional hardware, software, and professional services.
  • Develop strong relationships by understanding merchant needs and recommending solutions.
  • Present Shift4 products and benefits using a laptop or Point of Sale device.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities to expand product and service adoption.
  • Grow new accounts and uncover areas for expansion.
  • Uphold professionalism and adhere to company policies to help increase market share.
  • Take ownership for signing new clients within the assigned territory.
  • Keep current on products and industry trends in payments.
  • Maintain regular communication with your direct manager.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to review your sales pipeline and forecast new business.
