Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Completion of at least your sophomore year by the start of the internship. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or data analysis software is advantageous. Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple tasks. Passion for environmental sustainability and public infrastructure.

Join our dynamic team this summer as a Solid Waste Engineering Intern! We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented engineering student eager to gain practical experience in solid waste management, environmental compliance, and sustainability efforts. Under the mentorship of seasoned engineers, you will assist with a variety of technical projects, data analysis, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, evaluation, and enhancement of solid waste systems, including collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal methods.
  • Conduct field inspections and site assessments at landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.
  • Analyze environmental data and assist in the creation of technical reports, charts, and presentations.
  • Aid in regulatory compliance activities, including the preparation of permit applications and necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sustainability and waste reduction projects.
  • Perform GIS mapping and spatial analysis related to waste management infrastructure and service areas.
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings and contribute to project planning and development.
