Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Completion of at least the sophomore year of study by the start of the internship. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or data analysis tools is advantageous. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks. A genuine interest in environmental sustainability and public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and optimization of solid waste systems, including collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal operations.
Conduct comprehensive field inspections and assessments of landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.
Analyze environmental data, preparing detailed technical reports, charts, and presentations for stakeholder review.
Support regulatory compliance activities, including the preparation of permit applications and documentation.
Collaborate with diverse teams on innovative sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
Utilize GIS mapping and spatial analysis tools to enhance waste infrastructure and service area planning.
Participate in stakeholder meetings, contributing ideas to project planning and development.
