Join our innovative team at LaBella Associates as a Solid Waste Engineer Intern! We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented engineering student who is eager to gain practical experience in solid waste management and environmental sustainability during the Fall and Spring semesters. This multi-semester internship will provide you with the opportunity to engage in hands-on projects, data analysis, and field operations under the mentorship of seasoned engineers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and optimization of solid waste systems encompassing collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal methods.
  • Conduct thorough field inspections and assessments at landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities.
  • Analyze environmental data and compile comprehensive technical reports, charts, and presentations.
  • Support our regulatory compliance initiatives, including permit applications, reporting, and documentation tasks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote sustainability and waste reduction efforts.
  • Utilize GIS mapping and spatial analysis tools in relation to waste infrastructure and service areas.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
