Qualifications:Preferred: 2 years of experience in a quota-driven sales environment. Retail sales experience is highly desirable. Experience in generating customer leads is a plus. Proficient in Excel and MS Outlook experience, as well as familiarity with CRM tools. A passion for providing exceptional customer experiences. High energy and integrity are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills. We encourage applications from over-achievers, leaders, and those with backgrounds such as Peace Corps or Teach for America volunteers, college athletes, Eagle Scouts, military veterans, and community service leaders. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is required. Comfortable engaging customers in a dynamic retail environment.

As a Field Energy Specialist (Solar Sales Consultant), you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, educating them on the numerous advantages of solar energy and the benefits of installing residential solar systems. Through partnerships with renowned retailers like The Home Depot and Best Buy, you will identify prospective solar customers, respond to their inquiries, and coordinate in-home consultations with our Outside Solar Sales Consultants. You will receive comprehensive training on our cutting-edge sales processes and technologies.

After successfully meeting your sales targets for several consecutive months, you will be eligible for promotion to the Outside Solar Sales Consultant role, which offers additional training and higher commission potential, with further opportunities for advancement into Sales Mentor or Senior Sales roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers about Tesla/SolarCity’s clean energy solutions, including installation and inspection processes.
  • Generate in-store leads to achieve personal and team sales goals.
  • Collaborate with Outside Solar Sales Consultants to schedule in-home appointments.
  • Set up SolarCity displays and promotional materials (must be able to lift up to 35 lbs).
  • Conduct in-store seminars and events for groups of 20 or more.
  • Work alongside top-performing sales producers, learning directly from them.
