Your Role and Impact
The Platform Team is critical to ensuring our security operations platform functions reliably and efficiently at scale. You will be responsible for:
- Integrations: Developing and maintaining effective connectors for seamless and dependable ingestion of security data from various sources, including SIEM, EDR, cloud platforms, and SaaS applications.
- Observability & Monitoring: Implementing comprehensive telemetry, logging, and alerting systems to achieve over 99.9% uptime and facilitate swift incident responses.
- Developer Productivity: Creating CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and development tools to enhance the overall efficiency of our engineering organization.
- Deployment Infrastructure: Designing and managing secure deployment systems that ensure compliance across diverse customer environments.
As the Engineering Manager for the Platform Team, you will define and oversee the technical roadmap, balancing immediate customer needs with a vision for architectural excellence. Your contributions will significantly influence every customer interaction with Prophet Security, enabling our engineering team to work more effectively and scalable.
Your Responsibilities
This role is a hands-on engineering management position, where you will dedicate 25% of your time to direct technical contributions while leading your team.
- Build and nurture a high-performing team of Platform engineers, focusing on hiring top talent that aligns with our culture.
- Maintain technical credibility by staying engaged with our codebase, ready to troubleshoot issues, enhance monitoring, or deploy new features as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and guidance through regular one-on-one meetings, establishing clear pathways for career development and growth opportunities for each team member.
- Continuously evaluate and refine team processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
